Taxonomy
Galene litoralis was named by Collins et al. (2003). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is BB25, Bakam Beach, which is in a Pleistocene marine horizon in Malaysia.
It was recombined as Cryptolutea litoralis by Schweitzer et al. (2010).
