Argillichthys toombsi
Taxonomy
Argillichthys toombsi was named by Casier (1966). Its type specimen is BMNH P 42519, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Isle of Sheppey (BMNH collection), which is in a Ypresian marine claystone in the London Clay Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Argillichthys.
