Rafinesquina relicua
Taxonomy
Rafinesquina relicua was named by Benedetto (1995). Its type specimen is CEGH-UNC 7253, a valve (internal mould of dorsal valve), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Seccion de la Loma de Los Piojos. Layer 1, which is in a Rhuddanian marine sandstone/shale in the La Chilca Formation of Argentina.
