Erymastacus bordenensis was named by Copeland (1960). It is not extant. Its type locality is Locality 87, east-central Borden Island, which is in a Sinemurian marine sandstone in Canada.
It was recombined as Eryma bordenensis by Feldmann and McPherson (1980), Schweitzer et al. (2010).
