Allantopora krauseae was named by Voigt and Schneemilch (1986). Its type specimen is VC 11025 and is a 3D body fossil. It is the type species of Unidistelopora.
It was recombined as Unidistelopora krauseae by Ostrovsky and Taylor (2004).
