A. F. Bannikov 2004Anglerfish with large flattened head. Frontal ridge with small transverse crests and without spines. Angulo-articular lacking spine. Humeral spine and 20 or 21 vertebrae present. Soft dorsal fin com- posed of at least nine rays. Pectoral fins consisting of about 17 rays.
