Taxonomy
Onjosminthus baindi was named by Daxner-Höck et al. (2014). Its type specimen is NHMW 2013/0179/0001, a maxilla, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tatal Gol, section TAT-D, layer 1, which is in an Oligocene terrestrial mudstone in the Hsanda Gol Formation of Mongolia. It is the type species of Onjosminthus.
