Perochelys hengshanensis
Taxonomy
Perochelys hengshanensis was named by Brinkman et al. (2017). Its type specimen is ZMNH M8750, a partial skeleton (articulated skeleton in ventral view, missing the anterior and right three quarters of the skull, lateral half of the right plastron, and a section through the ), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Duntu Basin, Hengshan Formation (soft-shelled turtle locality), which is in an Albian lacustrine - small horizon in the Hengshan Formation of China.
