Aprosdokitos mikrotero

Taxonomy
Aprosdokitos mikrotero was named by Acosta Hospitaleche et al. (2017). Its type specimen is MLP 00-I-1-19, a limb element (right humerus), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is DPV 16/84, which is in a Priabonian estuary/bay horizon in the La Meseta Formation of Antarctica. It is the type species of Aprosdokitos.

C. Acosta Hospitaleche et al. 2017Very small humerus (ca. 50.8 mm), with diaphysis broader distally to the angulus preaxialis and single fossa tricipitalis. Condylus dorsalis humeralis larger than the ventralis, which is located over the dorsal edge. Processus flexorius narrow and ventro-distally extended, cranial end of sulcus m. scapulotricipitalis curved caudally, and completely separated from the sulcus m. humerotricipitalis by an intermediate trochlear ridge.
