Taxonomy
Borealarges fritillus was named by Campbell and Chatterton (2007). Its type specimen is UA 9816, a pygidium, and it is a cast. Its type locality is Fauna j, Section AV2, Delorme Fm., Mackenzie Mts., which is in a Whitwellian slope limestone/shale in the Delorme Formation of Canada.
