Taxonomy

Tetragregnon was named by Ormiston and Lane (1976) [Sepkoski's age data: C Tour-u P Djhu Sepkoski's reference number: 535,1007]. Its type is Tetragregnon sycamorensis.

It was assigned to Pseudolitheliidae by De Wever et al. (2001); to Spumellaria by Sepkoski (2002); and to Tetratormentidae by Noble et al. (2017).

Synonyms

Archaeopyramisa was named by Cheng (1986) [Sepkoski's age data: C Serp-l C Bash-u Sepkoski's reference number: 701]. Its type is Archaeopyramisa haeckeli.

It was synonymized subjectively with Tetratormentum by De Wever et al. (2001); it was synonymized subjectively with Tetragregnon by Noble et al. (2017).

It was assigned to Spumellaria by Sepkoski (2002).
Tetracircinata was named by Nazarov and Ormiston (1984) [Sepkoski's age data: P Leon-m Sepkoski's reference number: 546]. Its type is Tetracircinata reconda.

It was synonymized subjectively with Tetragregnon by De Wever et al. (2001), Noble et al. (2017).

It was assigned to Spumellaria by Sepkoski (2002).
Tetraspongoactinia was named by Won (1998). Its type is Tetraspongoactinia holdsworthi.

It was synonymized subjectively with Tetragregnon by Noble et al. (2017).

It was assigned to Pseudolitheliidae by De Wever et al. (2001).
