Lophiohippus yunnanensis
Taxonomy
Lophialetes yunnanensis was named by Huang and Qi (1982). Its type specimen is IVPP V6508, a set of teeth, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lumeiyi Village, which is in an Eocene terrestrial horizon in the Lumeiyi Formation of China. It is the type species of Lophiohippus.
It was recombined as Lophiohippus yunnanensis by Bai (2017).
