Taxonomy
Epimanteoceras mae was named by Li (2018). Its type specimen is IVPP V 20713, a partial skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sangequan, which is in an Eocene terrestrial sandstone/siltstone in the Uqbulak Formation of China.
