Taxonomy
Basiliella karmbergensis was named by Edgecombe and Webby (2007). Its type specimen is UTGD 98483a, b [counterparts, a pygidium, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Currajong Park Homestead, which is in an Eastonian deep subtidal shelf siltstone in the Gunningbland Formation of Australia.
