Taxonomy
Lagodon pectinoides was named by Stinton and Nolf (1970). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Balegem (Lede Fm, IRSNB collection), which is in a Lutetian coastal sandstone in the Lede Formation of Belgium.
It was recombined as Sparidarum pectinoides by Schwarzhans (2007).
