Nebrodites (Passendorferia) ziegleri was named by Brochwicz-Lewinski (1973). Its type specimen is GIUW Br 03/003, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Zawodzie at Czestochowa, quarry 3, bed 16, which is in an Oxfordian marine horizon in Poland.
