Jolonica elliptica
Taxonomy
Jolonica elliptica was named by Cooper (1957). Its type specimen is USNM 549324c, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS 17460, Gushichan (RS 348), which is in a Calabrian/Pleistocene lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal grainstone/limestone in the Naha Formation of Japan.
