Taxonomy
Endothiodon tolani was named by Cox and Angielczyk (2015). Its type specimen is NHMUK PV R12443, a partial skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Locality L4, which is in a Capitanian terrestrial mudstone in the Ruhuhu Formation of Tanzania.
