Trionyx bohemicus jaegeri was named by Fuchs (1939). Its type specimen is BSPG NMR 326 (holotype), a carapace, a carapace, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Viehhausen, which is in a Langhian terrestrial horizon in Germany.
