Beryx sanjoaquinensis
Taxonomy
Beryx sanjoaquinensis was named by David (1946) [original spelling san-joaquinensis]. Its type specimen is CIT 10328, a dermal scale, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Jergins Oil Company, Chaney Ranch No. 1 (3543-3864 feet), which is in an Eocene/Eocene marine shale in the Tumey Formation of California.
