Taxonomy
Cytheropteron (Cytheropteron) midwayensis was named by Alexander (1934). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Station 8b, Caldwell Ranch, Bastrop Co., TX, which is in a Danian marginal marine claystone in the Wills Point Formation of Texas.
