Taxonomy
Cytherelloidea nanafaliensis was named by Howe (1934). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Nanafalia Landing on the Tombigbee River, Alabama, which is in a Paleocene marginal marine horizon in the Nanafalia Formation of Alabama.
