Taxonomy
Eocytheropteron spurgeonae was named by Howe and Chambers (1935). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Keyser Hill, 27 ft bellow Cocoa sand, which is in an Oligocene marginal marine horizon in Alabama.
