Lobonotus purdyi
Taxonomy
Titanocarcinus purdyi was named by Blow and Manning (1996). Its type specimen is USNM 484571, a carapace, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS 26883, Martin Marietta Berkeley quarry, which is in a Lutetian carbonate limestone in the Santee Formation of South Carolina.
It was recombined as Lobonotus purdyi by Schweitzer et al. (2007), Schweitzer et al. (2010).
