Taxonomy
Prosopon (Gastrodorus) neuhausense was named by von Meyer (1864).

It was recombined as Gastrodorus neuhausensis by Bachmayer (1959), van Bakel et al. (2008); it was recombined as Gastrodorus neuhausense by Feldmann and Schweitzer (2009), Schweitzer et al. (2010).
