Phoberomys gyulavarii
Taxonomy
Perumys gyulavarii was named by Kretzoi and Voros (1989). Its type specimen is V.88.1,, a tooth ( a left lower m2 ), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Settlement Mashpaya, Nuevo Eden, which is in a Pliocene terrestrial horizon in Peru.
It was recombined as Phoberomys gyulavarii by Rasia and Candela (2018).
