Taxonomy
Terebratula bidentata was named by Hisinger (1827).

It was recombined as Rhynchonella bidentata by Lindström (1861); it was recombined as Ancillotoechia bidentata by Rubel and Rozman (1977), Musteikis and Modzalevskaya (2002).
