Paedeumias transitans
Taxonomy
Paedeumias transitans was named by Walcott (1910) [Walcott 1910 pl. 32, figs. 10, 12, 13, pl. 34, figs. 2–7 and possibly pl. 32, figs. 1–9, 11, pl. 33, figs. 2–5.= Olenellus roddyi (Lieberman 1999).
= Olenellus brachycephalus (Emmons); Shaw 1955:791, pl. 75, figs. 1–3.
= Olenellus thompsoni (Hall); Whitfield 1884:151, pl. 15, figs. 1–4.]. Its type specimen is USNM 56808b and is a 3D body fossil. It is the type species of Paedeumias.
It was recombined as Olenellus (Paedeumias) transitans by Palmer and Repina (1993), Lieberman (1998); it was recombined as Olenellus transitans by Lieberman (1999).
