Taxonomy
Olenellus lapworthi was named by Peach and Horne (1892) [Lectotype by Cowie and McNamara (1978).]. Its type specimen is GSE 5364 and is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Fritzolenellus lapworthi by Lieberman (1999).
