Ugandamys downsi
Taxonomy
Ugandamys downsi was named by Winkler et al. (2005). Its type specimen is BUMP 1022, a tooth (dp/4), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bukwa II, which is in a Burdigalian lacustrine - small claystone/siltstone in Uganda. It is the type species of Ugandamys.
