Taxonomy
Liolithax was named by Kellogg (1931) [Sepkoski's age data: T Mi-m T Mi-u Sepkoski's reference number: 1066]. It is not extant. Its type is Liolithax kernensis. It was considered monophyletic by Dawson (1996).
