Pipilo angelensis
Taxonomy
Pipilo angelensis was named by Dawson (1948). Its type specimen is LACM K7291, a mandible, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Rancho La Brea, Pit A (LACMIP 88), which is in a Rancholabrean tar tar in California.
