Buteogallus fragilis

Taxonomy
Geranoaetus fragilis was named by Miller (1911). Its type specimen is UCMP 12757, a set of limb elements (tarsometatarsus), and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Urubitinga fragilis by Howard (1932); it was recombined as Hypomorphnus fragilis by Wetmore (1940) and Miller and DeMay (1942); it was recombined as Buteogallus fragilis by Wetmore (1956) and Howard (1969).
