Megalosauropus (Eutynichnium) gomesi was named by Antunes (1976). It is considered to be a form taxon. It is a trace fossil. Its type locality is Lagosteiros B tracksite, which is in a Hauterivian lagoonal sandstone in the Ladeiras Formation of Portugal.
