Taxonomy
Kailia (Parakailia) lata was named by Wu (1979). Its type specimen is IGP 43334, a cephalon/head (cranidium, free cheek), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bed GLP. Beside road to Laifeng, about 2 km S of Gaoluo, which is in a Telychian marine shale/mudstone in the Xiushan Formation of China.
