Kelletia (Kelletia) gilberti
Taxonomy
Siphonalia gilberti was named by Moody (1916). Its type specimen is UCMP 11077, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UCMP loc. 3030, Fourth Street and Broadway Street, Los Angeles, which is in a Piacenzian marine claystone in the Fernando Formation of California.
It was recombined as Cantharus gilberti by Waterfall (1929); it was recombined as Kelletia (Kelletia) gilberti by Grant and IV and Gale (1931).
