Boreotrophon raymondi
Taxonomy
Trophon raymondi was named by Moody (1916). It is extant. Its type specimen is UCMP 11088, a shell. Its type locality is UCMP loc. 3030, Fourth Street and Broadway Street, Los Angeles, which is in a Piacenzian marine claystone in the Fernando Formation of California.
It was recombined as Trophon (Boreotrophon) raymondi by Soper and Grant (1932); it was recombined as Boreotrophon raymondi by Hall (2002), Hendy (2021).
