Taxonomy
Aceratherium cadibonense was named by Roger (1898). Its type specimen is NHML M7128 (cast), a tooth, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sassello, which is in an Oligocene terrestrial lignite in Italy.
It was recombined as Eggysodon cadibonense by Pandolfi (2015).
