Taxonomy
Gallicolumba leonpascoi was named by Worthy and Wragg (2003). Its type specimen is MNZ S40789, a limb element (tarsometarsus), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Henderson Island, site 5, which is in a Holocene cave horizon in Pitcairn.
