Taxonomy
Streptaster nodosus was named by Sumrall and Zamora (2011). Its type specimen is MPZ2006/584 and is a mold. Its type locality is Tarhia, Lc3, which is in an Ashgill coastal sandstone in the Upper Tiouririne Formation of Morocco.
