Taxonomy
Teleosaster creasyi was named by Hunter and McNamara (2017). Its type specimen is WAM 11.1b and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Gascoyne Junction (WAM collection), which is in a Kungurian shoreface sandstone in the Cundlego Formation of Australia. It is the type species of Teleosaster.
