Coturnix gomerae (Canary Islands quail)
Taxonomy
Coturnix gomerae was named by Jaume et al. (1993). Its type specimen is DZUL 1852, a set of limb elements (tibiotarsus), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bujero del Silo, La Gomera, which is in a Holocene cave siliciclastic in Spain.
