Colobops noviportensis
Taxonomy
Colobops noviportensis was named by Pritchard et al. (2018). Its type specimen is YPM VPPU 18835, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is I-91/Rte 6a/Rte 15, Meriden, which is in a Norian terrestrial sandstone in the New Haven Formation of Connecticut. It is the type species of Colobops.
