Taxonomy

Corvus nasicus was named by Temminck (1826). It is extant.

Sister species lacking formal opinion data

C. antecorvax, C. brachyrhynchos, C. coronoides, C. cryptoleucas, C. neomexicanus, C. noriorum

Synonyms

Corvus wetmorei was named by Brodkorb (1959). Its type specimen is UF 3210, a limb element (left humerus, distal end), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Banana Hole (UF collection), which is in a Pleistocene/Holocene sinkhole limestone in the Bahamas.

It was synonymized subjectively with Corvus nasicus by Olson and Hilgartner (1982).
