Natunaornis gigoura (Viti Levu giant pigeon)
Taxonomy
Natunaornis gigoura was named by Worthy (2001). Its type specimen is MNZ S37484, a set of limb elements (left tarsometatarsus), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Udit Tomo cave, Wainibuku, Viti Levu, which is in a Holocene cave horizon in Fiji. It is the type species of Natunaornis.
