Taxonomy
Tauristorea parallela was named by Senowbari-Daryan and Link (2005). It is not extant. Its type locality is Tilkideligi Tepe, Southern Anatolia, Turkey, which is in a Lacian reef, buildup or bioherm reef rocks in Türkiye. It is the type species of Tauristorea.
