Taxonomy
Lissodus weltoni was named by Duffin (1985). It is not extant. Its type specimen is P. 60772 (BM(NH)), a tooth (isolated crown). Its type locality is Lissodus weltoni section, which is in a Cenomanian marine horizon in Oregon.
It was recombined as Lonchidion weltoni by Rees and Underwood (2002).
