Taxonomy
Holmia weeksi was named by Walcott (1908). It is the type species of Nevadia.

It was recombined as Nevadia weeksi by Walcott (1910), Palmer and Repina (1993), Fritz (1995), Lieberman (1998), Lieberman (2001).
