Taxonomy

Lissemys was named by Smith (1931). It is extant.

It was assigned to Trionychidae by Carroll (1988), Frank and Ramus (1996); and to Cyclanorbinae by van Dijk et al. (2014).

Synonyms

Emyda lineata was named by Lydekker (1885). Its type specimen is IMC E210, a partial shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Indus Valley of Punjab, which is in a Pliocene terrestrial horizon in Pakistan.

It was considered a nomen dubium by Georgalis and Joyce (2017).
Emyda palaeindica was named by Lydekker (1885). Its type specimen is IMC E134a, a partial shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Indus Valley of Punjab, which is in a Pliocene terrestrial horizon in Pakistan.
