Taxonomy
Mogilia lautus was named by Wessels et al. (2018). Its type specimen is VA-878 (M1 dex.) and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Valniš, which is in an Oligocene fluvial-lacustrine claystone in Serbia.
